Bamboo Playsuit at Bodkin for Fall 2009

For Fall 2009, the Bodkin collection shows that it is entirely possible to be eco friendly and very stylish at the same time. The Brooklyn based label Bodkin, started just over a year ago by Eviana Hartman, has already won awards incuding being the first ever winner of the Eco Domani award for the eco concious future of fashion.

Bodkin uses a range of eco friendly materials including recycled PET plastic bottles and organic cotton.

The collection which was shown at the Horticultural Society of New York in February including some very wearable pieces which would look amazing and elegant on anyone. The designs were architecturally structured and had plenty of interesting details. Overall the collection was classic and chic but with some unusual twists.

Our favourite was the black playsuit made from bamboo rayon. The off the shoulder straps gave it a very cutting edge feel and it would look great worn with black or coloured tights and boots.
