Recycle Week

This week (June 22nd -28th) is Recycle Week. Organised by Recycle Now, Recycle week is an annual event to promote recycling and get individuals to pledge to recycle more and waste less. There are so many ways to recycle including the household collections of glass, tins and paper, reusing carrier bags and creating a compost heap with kitchen waste. Recycle Week is now in it’s fifth year and it is encouraging individuals to register their pledges to waste less on the website with commitments like recycling textiles and using leftovers for lunch the next day.

There will also be recycling events taking place all over the country. even schools can get involved, a great way to recycle more and teach children about sustainable living.
