Go Green Go by Phillip Lim
Go Green Go is an eco friendly range of designer clothes by Phillip Lim. The line was set up by Phillip Lim to reduce his companies carbon footprint. He was inspired by a documentary about polar bears and their loss of habitat in the North Pole. All proceeds from the collection go to Al Gores climate collection.
The 10 piece collection features tunic dresses, tank tops and trousers made of organic cotton and lined in organic silk. Each of the pieces has his signature relaxed silhouette that he has made his clothes so sought after. The collection is in natural colours which are achieved without the use of dyes and washed with tennis balls to give them a washed out look. The clothes feature intricate details like pleats and covered buttons but they are sewn by hand to cut down on the use of machines.
This collection is another way that you can help to fight climate change but in a very stylish way.
