How does eco friendly bamboo baby clothing help the environment?

We founded Bamboo Baby in July 2006 in London to provide clothing with minimum negative impact on the environment. We wanted our clothes to be soft, comfortable and practical, but it is also important to us that they are bright, fun, contemporary and fashion-led. Good Energy supplies our office energy, where 100% of the electricity we use comes from renewable resources. See Bamboo and the environment for more details. We use minimal, recyclable and biodegradable packaging such as recycled acid-free tissue paper, recycled brown paper and we re-use all our cardboard boxes.

As much as possible, we are a paper free company. All our printed materials are printed on FSC 100% recycled uncoated paper using vegetable oil based ink. All our goods are shipped to the UK by sea, which is better for the environment than airfreight – we know the importance of trying hard to be eco friendly, see our Bamboo Baby ethics for more details. We use a small local shipping company with just 4 employees, as we believe in helping to support small businesses like our own.
